Three Road Pier by cdcook48

Three Road Pier

Yes, it is called Three Road. In Richmond’s early days, when roads were being created, the farmers weren’t too concerned with naming conventions. The first road in the west became Number One Road, and so on. Each of the main north/south roads being a mile apart. Now, of course, there are many more roads in between.
Awesome photo and cool history!

Hoped they stopped numbering the streets in time ;-)
Beautifull b/w photograph with nice water and clouds, smoothed by the long exposure.

Pretty much how the US interstates are named, only they are double digits.
