Ghost Trees by cdcook48

Ghost Trees

These pruned back, leafless trees in a Richmond parking lot made me think immediately of the famous ghost trees of the Deadvlei Desert in Namibia. Not that I've ever been to Namibia but I've seen plenty of photos. I underexposed the trees when shooting and in post I accentuated the contrast. Unlike the Namibian ghost trees these ones are not dead and will spring back to life in, well, spring.
Cool

I have been to Namibia and spent a long time in Death Valley near Sossusvlei with the 900 year old dead camel thorn trees.

You did exceptionally well with your ghost trees Chris.

@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana. I’m quite jealous. The desert looks amazing in the photos I’ve seen.

What a way to trim trees. Nice POV and silhouetting.

Such a great shot, I would have been tempted to saw off the far right branch on the bottom right tree producing a diagonal line from top left to bottom right!!! FAV
