Although the buildings and dock behind the cannery building are still active in unloading fishing boats catches and shipping them out for processing elsewhere the Gulf of Georgia Cannery itself is set up as a display building to show visitors how a cannery operated with full size displays of each stage from fresh catch off the boats to canned product ready for sale.
