Treatment! by cdonohoue

Treatment!

This is my favorite dentist, Dr. Kurt Ficker. I have been his patient for about 25 years. I am currently at work building his website, making his presence known on Facebook and taking pictures - dragging him into the electronic age. And he isn't wild about being there.
But the staff were really good sports today. I took this with the wide angle lens thinking to include more of the room but for one reason or another liked this better.
I also am really disappointed in most of my shots. I used my flash and still am not wild about the skin tones. I did group shots, head shots of the staff - the entire nine yards.
I think you did a great job capturing the Dr.- patient perspective. Your know I love this. This shot makes me want to go to him, or maybe work for him. HaHa (Remember I'm currently an unemployed hygienist.)

Love this, even though dentists are my most unfavourite people in the world! Maybe you didn't need to, but you've captured the menace and the horror beautifully with your lighting.

This shot would work great for promotional materials.

I think the light was really good and needed for the detail here. I can like the photo but not the subject, thank you. I'm a real sookie!

Wonderful job on the photo. I'm not a great fan of going to the dentist ; ) And hey, good for you helping create a website.

Yes, nice work on the photo shoot! Your portrayal of the dentist reflects a gentleness. I think that any would be patient would appreciate that!

I think it came out pretty well. My only suggestion would be to see if (next time round) you could get the angle slightly different to avoid the "tangent" between the equipment and his head. See.... http://monkeyslunch.com/slideshows/tangents.html#9

Well done Cathy, a great shot and a very brave one -at least I feel brave summoning up the courage to view it! Having said that, Dr Ficker does look very caring!

cool shot - sounds like a great thing to get involved in - great experience. And even better you are behind the lens, not on the chair!!

It a lovely shot and really depicts the profession of dentistry. Well done.

Did you bounce the flash or was it direct? That can cause a difference in skin tones. Bounce would also produce less harsh light and shadows.

I love this ..... But so hate the dentist

Wow did you get paid for the shoot AND doing the website? Nice take.
