This is one of my funny shots from last night. My husband is the best looking of the brothers in his gray tux after giving the bride away. Far left is the youngest brother Todd, Ted, the oldest is in the background in the hat and guitar - his band played last night, in the foreground is Tim and Larry, with his head turned, is the father of the groom. I think it is hysterical that all of these grown men came into that fancy hotel reception hall with a rusty saw on a pole and proceeded to bang on it. This is an old custom that the groom's father wanted to do and easily talked the brothers into helping with. Tom and the groom's father both got nicked by the saw. Good thing tetanus shots are up to date.
My nephew, son of the oldest brother, is getting married next weekend. So another family gathering.
@marlboromaam It was fun. @aurorajane Ah, but another wedding gift to buy. At least not a tux rental. @maggiemae No other music at the time. Just the banging of the saw with the hammers. Wish I would have had a video camera. @swguevin It was hysterical. @karenann I have to send it to each of them. @anazad511 Isn't it a strange tradition? @lyno We did. And tiring. @calm They are fun. All 100,000 of them. @jesperani Thanks. The crowd was laughing. @sangwann Thanks Dione. Lots of laughter. @alia_801 YOu got that right. @cindymc Thanks Cincy.
