Garrett

Many thanks to all of you for your support yesterday. I have made the most wonderful friends here and you are such a kind bunch of folks. That meant a lot to me.
I'm not showing what I had for lunch (it is my journal) but who I had it with. I got to go to lunch with some of my best guys. Michael finally closed on house #1 here in Cincinnati. It is SOLD! I had Garrett while they did the paperwork. When they got back Michael, Garrett and my younger son Andy and I went out to lunch while Michele laid down for a while. We had a great time and laughed a lot at my little comedienne here. They are scheduled to close on house #2 tomorrow. The fly in the ointment (no pun on yesterday's shot) now is the furniture. The movers don't know when they can deliver it as they are booked! And all of the papers they need for school registration (that they thought was already taken care of) are on that truck.
So they will sleep on the air mattresses again tonight in Cincinnati and tomorrow in Indiana. We all joked that we had said "Good-bye" at least four times now so all that practice made it easier and tear free.
Can you see the little hair cut that Garrett treated himself to? Five is a wondrous age.
Wonderful portrait of Garrett!

Such a lovely face - this is a great one to treasure Cathy :) Glad things are starting to move in the right direction (paper-wise if not possessions!)

Oh, Cathy, I am so glad house #1 is sold. That must be such a relief. Hoping for a tear free farewell.

Great portrait of your Garrett. Love the haircut ; )

Wonderful open, honest portrait of a handsome little chap! I love his direct look, and he has the most beautiful gentle expression.

Lovely portrait!!

What a beautiful portrait and I didn't notice the 'haircut' until you pointed it out. Middle son did the same thing at about the same age. It was only when we told him to take his hat of at the dinner table that we realised ;o) xx

Handsome young man. Excellent portrait. Nicely done.

great shot, sweet one!

Sweet portrait! He did a better job with his haircut than my granddaughter did! She used a pair of her Mom's manicure scissors and cut off MOST of her long, curly hair. A major recut by a professional was necessary. Fortunately, it has all grown back!

He's a handsome little guy ... what a treasure! So thinks are slowly moving along. Wonderful ... someday you can all look back and smile about this move. But for now, it isn't all that pleasant or much fun. But Garrett makes up for that. :)

Boys are great! I've raised two and now have two grandsons to "remember when" by (as well as two granddaughters!). I'm not sure of all the circumstances you're writing about, but it does look like everything will work out in the end. And I'm glad to see you're all able to laugh through the snags and ups and downs. This is a nice portrait of your grandson (I'm assuming that's what he is to you at least).
