Age of Aquarius by cdonohoue

Age of Aquarius

Bear with me now. Obviously I don't really know how to do this Tiny Planet thing. I wish I really knew how to use photoshop to take the trees out of my top right and make that also look like sky.
Today's word is Aquarius - well that was my early life. Too much of it. But this Surf Board Fence in Paia, Maui was so much fun. There was a bus stop, you can see the cross walk sign, in front of it. I made Tom go back so I could take a shot of it. Well surf boards are so very water bearer to me which is what the astrological sign stands for. So, if you really stretch with me today, you will get to the same conclusion that I did for Aquarius - and I am one!
I really love this processing. I am wondering if you crop the original picture to erase the pole, it would probably become a perfect circle of surf boards.

I've just been trying this myself on my phone and didn't get such a good effect as this. Did you have to use a panoramic shot or was it just in normal proportions? xx

Very clever, love it!! No idea at all how to do this!!
February 3rd, 2013
Very clever interpretation. When I first saw it, I thought of a phonograph record spinning whilst playing "Age of Aquarius." I think you did very well with this.

I love it! And I am also an Aquarius... :)

Much better than I could do! Aquarius connection here too! ;~}

COOL!

Cool idea, Cathy. Good for you giving this a try. One day I'll try it. Like Henri, I keep thinking of Age of Aquarius ; )

Great shot, and I'll go with your connection there.... works for me and I love the little planet anyway!

Very cool idea of the surfboards... Fav.. Cos you had a go and I love it. You can use your clone tool, or you fix it tool too smooth it out.
February 3rd, 2013
@sugarmuser Thanks, Sharon. Could I really smooth out that much. For some reason I always find fault with trying to clone. I can get rid of a wire. I need to take a shot with this in mind.

@cdonohoue play with your tools Cathy after you save it, that way it doesn't matter if you mess it up... Do it slowly and remember you can undo the last action.

@anazad511 I could take the pole out but I wanted to get rid of all the greenery there and couldn't accomplish that so left the pole for fun and the sign.
@psychographer It wasn't a true panoramic. But a long line of boards that I thought lent themselves to the idea. I've seen so many that I love and can't come close to.

@henrir Thank you Henri. I want to try again.
@marilyn @grammyn See ladies there is a reason we Aquarians get along!
@aspada Thanks, Amy.
@yonnie I so remember that time in my life.
@filsie65 It was fun. I have to find a better shot to do it.
@sugarmuser Thanks Sharon. I'll have to give it a try.

I'm with @anazad Cathy, crop the original. I like what you've done though. Very brave attempt.

@seanoneill I played with tiny planet and photoshop (which I am no good with) and ended up with this which I really liked.

@cdonohoue Nice one. The most important person to please with any shot is yourself.
February 6th, 2013
I think this is really a neat and colorful picture. I agree with AnaZad had a great idea on how to get out what you don't want in there.
