I am so very guilty of the sin of pride. My 36 year old baby got his Master's Degree. This is the guy that got an Associates and decided he'd had enough of school. It just wasn't clicking for him. Several years later he decided to get the Bachelor's. Working and going to school is never easy - but he did it. When he told me he wanted the Master's I was a little bit floored. He quit his job and went at it full time and started tutoring and teaching classes at NKU. He has found his niche in this world. He loves that atmosphere. Hopefully, he can keep body and soul together teaching there while he writes - his burning passion. Two of his professors sought me out after the ceremony to tell me just how brilliant my young man is in his chosen field (he could do with a bit of common sense). It was such a day. Enough bragging - but my heat is so very full.
Hey go easy on yourself. We have to rejoice with those who rejoice and celebrating hard work and God's gifts is part of that! Well done to him -and you are just being an appreciative mum!!!!
Wonderful family portrait. And what an accomplished young man and what mom an resist letting everyone know, especially on such a momentous day? However, I can see from this photo that he didnt' go it alone, he had two people who loves him very much supporting him all the way. Congratulations to you all.
You have every right to be proud Cathy. Congratulations to Andy for the fruits of his hard work and dedication. I wish him the very best of luck for the future.
Congratulations! It's wonderful to find your niche! And I'm all for a little boasting when it's well deserved..we don't do it enough to tell you the truth and it's so important.
Wonderful shot. Cathy, Congratulations. I don't think the sin of pride is this kind of pride--if you said your son is better than everyone else, that's different. He has obviously worked very hard and you should be proud of him. Sounds like he had some great mentoring. And, of course, congratulations to Andy!!!
I’d say you’ve earned the privilege of bragging! Congratulations to your son. It’s quite an accomplishment to pursue your dream a little later in life. I’ve always admired those with the guts to do it.
Congratulations to both of you. My daughter decided she had enough school when she was seventeen and started work as a secretary. After some time she decided to take up her studies part-time and now she's a full qualified accountant with a degree from Henley University.
Congratulations! beautiful shot A nice portrait a really nice momento of the day & achievement --AND CATHY YOU SHOULD FEEL PROUD , There is nothing wrong in feeling proud of someone's achievement through hard work & determination Well done Andy !
We are all proud of our kids when they do so well like your son...no sin in that sort of pride at all Cathy!!! Well done to your son for his achievement!
Great capture. Very many congratulations to Andy on attaining his Master's. I don't think it's a sin to be proud of what anyone's achieved through application and hard work.
Being proud of your children is not a sinful pride. The sin of Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. Congratulations Andy!
