Today, this is still the old Hudson Car Showroom on the main street of Norwood, Ohio - complete with the freight elevator they used to transport cars to three floors. Tomorrow, it becomes sacred space - complete with a hand quilted parament that has hung in Norwood Presbyterian Church for the last ten years or so. Tomorrow is our "soft" opening. We have a lot of work to do on this new space. There is plenty of room here for worship in the round! Behind this wall is a little cafe area for visiting after. Upstairs is a totally different matter. It is huge! We have room for Baby Bear, offices, Sunday School rooms, choir room, a huge kitchen, eating and socializing areas - mostly open. I'm sure I'll be sharing more of it. This is just a quick look of what is to come. I have big plans. I want to write a book - with the help of my son the author and my pastor who is wonderful with words. I am going to photo journal our path so that other struggling churches can find a handbook of, hopefully, the way back.
A beautifully simple place....sounds to me as though all this upheaval your church has gone through was meant to be! More space & visiting areas for new members & to top it all a book for reference for others...was meant to be!
