Thanks so much for your response to my field of sunflowers yesterday. It really is a magical place and I'm sure that I'll return to play there more before the season is over.
I caught these two happily sharing lunch on the Loosestrife. It seems pretty obvious the story that this one is telling me. If a bumble bee and a butterfly can happily share lunch space, why can't we seem to get along with one another. This awesome community is built around a common love. The magic has already happened for each of us and we have plenty to talk about and techniques to share with one another. Taking that into our daily lives is easy enough to do. My guess is that if we tried to find that easy camaraderie with the rest of the world we would find it. We just need to spend some time finding our common bonds and forget what divides us.

I agree totally re. finding common bonds. It's people's perceptions of differences that help to fuel intolerance. Understanding how much we have in common unites us. Someone once remarked that friendship often begins with a 'What? You as well?' moment.
