My heart is heavy this morning as I sit down with my morning coffee to read the news. At least 50 dead in Las Vegas because a killer with a lot of fire power found the perfect perch to overlook an outdoor concert where folks were gathered having fun and listening to music. I will never understand the mindset of someone who decides they want to die and they are going to take a lot of folks with them. I am leaving for Las Vegas in a little over a week to meet a group of friends that also love their cameras. That makes this hit a bit closer to home. Even with the gates of heaven open wide to welcome the innocent there is no way that the shooter can slip inside unseen. So this morning I cry with those that mourn and I pray for those in pain.
