What if all we did during political season was roll the dice. What if we were kinder to folks that voted for someone different than we did. What if we didn't belittle and try to speak louder over the madding crowd. What if we actually honored one another enough to allow them to be heard. What if we voted with love and forgot all about party lines. What if we found a different word for the two major "parties" so that party could mean having fun again and not whether you voted blue or red.
Believe it or not this is not a political post. It is a post about how far we have fallen in our treatment of one another. I think maybe it is because we feel all powerful with a computer screen between us. We can say nasty things and never see the impact that they have on someone else. So, let's say just for today, let's roll the dice with love.
Wise words Cathy, I so agree. I think politics has brought out the worst in us over here too unfortunately. Interesting thoughts about the computer theory.
I looks almost like a stained glass windeow but with a secular comment instead of a religious one.
Some days l despair of the world ever getting back to the way we were. I may have become "that" person.....in my day....things just seemed better but perhaps time has dimmed my memory a bit too
Cool image. I too, no longer believe that the political parties work. They spend their time wanting each side to fail and look bad. The politicians should be focused and working for “we the people” instead!
