This is not a great shot - but it is a great tree. It sits on the very edge of Bryce Canyon in Utah. I have no idea how long it has clung to the edge. I love the gnarly root system and the spindly branches. In my mind it has come to represent me. I'm still here and happy about it. I do all that I can to keep that root system healthy. I still reach upward, still finding out who I am and what the stardust that is me is still accomplishing. I'm strong. I'm beautiful just the say that I am.
Very pretty view. It's amazing that the tree can continue to stand with most of the roots on top of the ground. It must have a really long and healthy tap root.
