I find it very difficult to take a shot of myself. I despise being on the other end of the camera. That is not my happy place. But I've also decided that my sons should know what I looked like as the years went by. I am beginning my 67th circle around the sun and I'm so very grateful to be here and be healthy and mostly of sound mind!

cathy, you look wonderful and young for your age. an having braved a self portrait i say you are of sound mind, your reasoning confirms that. i don't agree with people when they comment "brave". being brave it isnt. it's self acceptance and self confidence, because if you can't be confident in yourself then how can one be confident in anything else you want to do? so i say aces to this fabulous self portrait.💖
I think it's a great picture. Good for you for realizing your sons will want the photos. I implore people to not avoid pictures so that there is a history when they are gone.
