Charlie & Maggie

Nothing works harder than a Welsh Corgi. They are natural born herdering dogs that really need a job. We have WrestleFest at our house every night. And I do mean every night. We had to stop Charlie from playing too much as he is on his way to the Ortho specialist on Thursday for his shoulder - but I had to take this picture tonight. Maggie, the blue merle Cardigan, has been biting Charlie, the Pembroke, since the day we brought her home almost seven years ago. And he wanted somebody to play with so badly that he let her. Maggie has one blue eye. When she gets excited it really does glow red - this is not "red eye" that needs correcting. It is my little devil dog's temper.

I just read an article about the Jubilee. It said the sale of Pembroke Welsh Corgis has really gone up this year. And in England the Cardigan is endangered? I have to tell my breeder friends they are breeding an endangered species! I love my Corgis. Charlie is a sweetheart and sweet tempered. Maggie is a diva and thinks for herself and wants the world to march to her tune. Her world does.
Cute! I can relate too!
