Interesting Lighting on an Eerily Vacant Road

I haven't been leaving the house much during this pandemic, but tonight I drove just a few miles from my home to pick something up. At the last minute I took my camera with me just in case I saw something photo-worthy while out of the house. I was driving east with a wonderful sunset in the west behind me when I noticed the colors from the sunset lighting the posts of the overpass in front of me. I shot this through the front windshield of the car while stopped at a red light. Thankfully, my windshield was pretty clean. This picture is a rare sight since the two left lanes turn onto a ramp to enter Florida's Turnpike, a main road from South Florida to the top of the state. This is usually a very busy intersection, but it was eerily free of any traffic today.
Yes, it's funny to see roads so quiet. Quite eerie as you say.

Isn't the world a strange place to be in at the moment.

Empty roads everywhere, so much so that the wildlife are sitting on them. Unfortunately, my grandson hit 2 animals on his way back from duty, at dawn

Great image and definitely a telling story of the roads around the world these days.

So quiet everywhere but good that pollution is down if only for a short while.

I like how the light illuminated the posts under the bridge. I have a fairly well traveled road in front of my house and much of the time it is very quiet lately.
