Majestic Palms by chejja

Majestic Palms

I was challenged by Lisa @homeschoolmom to participate in "Flash of Red" Week 1- black and white landscape and to tag my photos to both Get Pushed and Flash of Red.

Landscapes- Day 4
I am participating in the "Flash of Red" challenge- Black and white photography for the month of February with a flash of red on February 14. The theme for the week is "Landscapes." This photo was taken at Secret Woods Nature Center while walking on the raised trail that goes along the water. Secret Woods was designated the first "urban wilderness area" in the state of Florida in 1978. It covers a 56-acre floodplain of cypress strand and mangroves with uplands of tropical hammock. It is close to where two main highways meet, and very near the Fort Lauderdale International Airport but, since it is hidden under a dense canopy of mangroves, most people drive past without realizing that it exists.
@homeschoolmom My response to Day 4 of the challenge. Although I have been out each day photographing, I am catching up on uploading tonight.

I like the tall palm trees with the "regular" trees and shrubs nestled at their bases.
