Get Pushed Challenge 454

I am really excited about this photo. This week, Sue @suez1e gave me the following challenge, "My challenge to you is to take a photo using slow shutter speed and using either a tripod or having the camera on a solid surface when you take the photo. I suggest you use a remote device to take the shot or self timer delay." This gave me more challenges than any I have done before, but I learned so much. I now have a bunch of new skills to draw from.
Challenge #1- I have never used a tripod. A friend gave me one awhile back, but I don't have a plate to mount my camera. I called all over Fort Lauderdale and Miami this week. Only one store carried the brand, but they didn't have the right one. I'll have to order one online, but it wouldn't arrive in time for the challenge. Fortunately, I have one friend who has the same camera as I do who was very willingly to loan me his tripod when I asked.
Challenge #2- I have never shot using a long exposure. I had to reference my manual and look online to learn how.
Challenge #3- I don't have a remote control, and I have never used the self timer delay on my camera, so again I had to reference my manual and look online to learn how.
Challenge #4- My first plan was to shoot down from the top of the Hardrock parking garage to the street below, but after shooting only two photos, I was told that I could not take photos from there and was asked to leave (even though I saw a bunch of people taking photos of the guitar and Hard Rock buildings from the garage with their cellphones).
Actually, the photos I took after moving across the street and down the road a bit turned out better anyway.
This shot turned out particularly well because, besides the cars passing by with lights close to street level, several large buses went by in the right lane right in front of me, causing those higher light trails that show up so well against the dark sky.
Great capture

@suez1e Thank you so much for giving me this challenge. It really did present more than one challenge for me, but I learned so much, and I'm excited about the new skills I have to draw on in the future. Thanks for pushing me.

This is a great shot! I like the lines the buses made and the starburst streetlights. On top of that I like your composition!

Hi
I'm your get pushed partner this week.....have you tried multiple exposure?
April 13th, 2021
@annied Hi, Annie. I'm glad to be your Get Pushed partner this week. I have not tried multiple exposure, and I have no idea how to do it, but I am very willing to learn and try to give it a try. I've been looking through your albums. You have so many great photos of many different types. Do you think you could try doing a frozen flower photo? Here's a website: https://digital-photography-school.com/photography-frozen-flowers/
