How hard can it be to go to the same spot for four times, and not be able to get the same POV, and not even realize it until getting photos side by side.
It is obviously hard for me.
It is not really important, but even last summer I wanted to observe same views on different days and times of day, and I just can't get it. I get lost in the moment, seeing something else every time.
So I am making this my NY resolution, or goal or whatever that is to learn how to take the same shot. Maybe it turns out to be borring- but it is certainly a way to improve skills. At least each one of these little pics is beautiful. I took them on our vacation, and I just need to find similar motive with good enough background here at home to be able and compare seasons- that is the ultimate goal of this learning practice... PS: I know myself- even if I put an X on the ground I will mess up the angle, and I am not using tripod...
Different POV or not, these are absolutely brilliant! It really is hard to get the exact same crop, but they look masterful next to each other still. Fav for me!
Just sensational... the light in each is magnificent ...don't be so hard on yourself... look at each image and realize the beauty in each... now you should do each season.... I want to do that sometime....
very nice image, Martina. I do recommend a tripod and a prime lens if you have one. Your are correct. it is nearly impossible to get the same angle.
I used a 50mm lens and a tripod for these shots. http://365project.org/tags/pfburroak
Start with the collage in the upper right of my link. I also recommend using a special tag when you post it so you can find all the images.
A lovey set of images Martina, they are all dramatic and beautiful, even if you are not standing on the exact same spot. Good luck with continuing on this technique.
Great collage. I like the idea of taking the same image at different times of the year of times in the day. Maybe you need to put a marker on the ground and make sure you use the same settings on your camera
This is something I'd like to try too. Just need to find the perfect place. I think this is a gorgeous collage. Number 1 and 3 are stunning. The light in the sky and on the water perfectly beautiful. Fav for me 😊
