This is where yesterday's chips ended...
I got a recipe from my childhood best friend. She moved to Canada at 24, and has a family there, similar life to mine actually- growing up together obviously matters. So we keep in contact and among other things exchange new recipes. She likes mine because they come from our tradition, they bring some tastes from the past in new wraps.. I like her recipes because I get proven and tested recipes yet very new in my surroundings, and she likes her food to be as healthy as possible (as healthy as cookies get in this case). So some of ingredients are honey, and raw sugar, oat meal...
I was lucky I can get all the components in Europe (except ch chips) but the real challenge are measures.... Ha ha ha... Have you ever tried to make a cake following recipe from over the Ocean (both ways). One more thing I would never be able to do without Google. It should be so easy to just use set of cups (but they are not a regular item in our kitchens). And even if I have them how do I measure 1/8 cup of a butter???. So I tried Google, and luckily it had all the answers. Otherwise it would be a lot of applied maths and physics to get it all in metric system.
And those cookies are devine. Soft and yummy!
I might try to put in a melted chocolate next time- who knows it might be worth it.
