My best bird picture ever...
I tried so many times and finally decided that I don't know how to do it. I guess one needs a lot of patience and a bit of luck... (and some bred crumbles)...
So my lucky shot today, while I was trying to find flower models in my garden...

Awesome! I've tried too, and have found that it's possible to get an OK composition OR the bird in focus... almost never both, so congrats for getting this!

Nice shot. I believe that I am too impatient for bird shots. I think you're right. Easiest (and that is a relative term) to get when they are feeding.

I can truly relate to your difficulties taking bird photos. My goal this year is to improve, so I am taking a lot more bird photos and I have managed to get a few. Don't give up. Its so rewarding when you get a good one. This one is a very good photo. You should congratulate yourself.
