I am back from trip to Italy....So I am backing up my project.
First stop was Bologna, that I visited for the first time. It is hard to choose the right thing to post, since Italian culture, art and history are not measurable.
One thing that was fun to learn were the nicknames of this city. There are many, but the three of them stand out: "Red", "Learned" and "Fat".
Red, because the whole old city is built with red material, the walls and pavement. They added red curtains, and details. New buildings are also mostly painted red to keep up with inheritance....
The Fat is because of the famous food that comes from this area, and nickname "Learned" is for the University- established in 1088, the oldest uni that stil operates...
