@phil_sandford, I am glad you were fine after eating cherries. I must admit I never knew cherries can cause alergic reaction. I thought they are totally safe (I thought that for apples, too). I never stop to learn new things on 365. I hope you get to enjoy them more often!
Came on in late 90s. Suddenly couldn't eat a whole load of fruit - apples, cherries, kiwis, peaches, pears. I can eat oranges, clementines and bananas. And, weirdly, I can eat all of those fruits if they've been cooked. Just my body betraying me is what my Doctor said. He also said, have anti-histamines to hand, but every now and then, try and eat say an apple. Every now and then I do and today, I was able to eat a couple of cherries.
