We had a lot of flooding in coastal part of Croatia. It was really bad. They haven't seen that much rain for decades in one single day. Huge damage... It wasn't Irma, but it was not far from it, just more localized. the garage of a shopping centre was completely filled with water to the roof, with cars in it. local cemetery flooded and washed- thank good it is build of concrete, creek bridge taken away, pavement broken and washed down the road at several locations.... and so on. They have never experienced something like that, and there was no warning. Rain was predicted, but it got so heavy at certain places that no one can expect something like that...Hopefully they will get everything back in order and that none of historical buildings got ruined... It was in the area where my summer house is. They say our little place is ok, houses where they should be... In my home town where I am the rain looked like this- brought some life to our plants and gardens
Such a pretty bud. Terrible about all the rain pouring down and causing flooding and problems. Mother Nature is giving some too much while others are in drought. Wish there was a way to distribute it more evenly for many to enjoy.
