I like the shadow play on the walls. Why are the old buildings being gutted?

@merrelyn, We had major earthquake in March with the epicenter practically in the city, lots and lots of damage to the old center of Zagreb which takes forever to repair. Few weeks ago another strong earthquake hit the town close to us, completely ruining that other town, people are being moved to mobile houses an campers... My city was lucky this time with "just" some aditional damage. It is sad to see all the damage and efforts people are putting to rebuild their places, with Covid-19 behind a corner on top of everything,,,,

What a nightmare, people already have so much to deal with from Covid and now to have homes destroyed as well. It truly is a very sad situation..

My daughter and her family visited Zagreb in 2019.
