Good advice, not followed as I left with three punnets of flower plants (lavender, calendula and more alyssum)! We had gone in looking for shadecloth as our broccoli plants are wilting in the sun, but couldn't find anything suitable. We will keep moving the pots into the shade for now.
It's Guy Fawkes Day and some are celebrating with fireworks, but we had a quiet night.
