This week I noticed our kaka beak had started developing flower buds. This is the tree we obtained from the council's 'free tree day' last month, see here: https://365project.org/chikadnz/365/2026-06-06
The flowers are supposed to be red but I think there's also a white version, so we will have to wait and see what ours is. We need to transfer it from its little plant pot to a much larger one (pictured) which will be its 'forever home'.
