This clump of Osteospermum has been flowering for a good few weeks and despite the temperature plummeting over the last week it appears to be immune to the chill. I think it gets a bit of protection from being close to a low wall.
@casablanca . My daughter likes daisy-type flowers but in her case its probably because its one of the few flowers she can recognise π she never did inherit my love of plants. π π·πΊπ»πΉπΌπΎ
They look lovely, at first glance I thought they were Mesembryanthemums
(or is Mesembryanthemum the plural too?) At least you can see some flowers... ours are all covered in snow.
@wintivic Haha, can't trust anything these daysπ The lawn is still white, but the roads and pavements are dry now (no snowplough, grit or salt needed!) I'm sure our flowers will reappear very soon π
Ha ha, my mother can always reel off the Latin name for things at the drop of a hat. I love plants but sometimes resort to saying things like "those lovely blue ones with the long stamens and spiky bits......."
@casablanca . Well funny you should mention that, my memory isn't as good as it used be I seem to have a few craft moments these days, craft as in can't remember a flaming thing. π
