This small but beautifully formed old cinema is sadly consigned to the scrapheap, demolition imminent. Over the past few years there have been many attempts to raise enough funds to save it but alas never enough to satisfy the owners. I guess it will soon be replaced by yet another expensive apartment development.
Such a shame to see old places being knocked down, we use to have an old cinema with interesting architecture, but the council decided we only needed one cinema so it was demolished :)

It was in its day a lovely little Art Deco 1930s cinema, but alas same here Dione lots of high price apartments which local people, especially the younger generation can't afford so they are usually bought by well to do people who want a holiday home on the Island. I also hate all that.
