I haven't been out this weekend on my usual drives out to the country, searching for a beautiful landscape, unique barn, or rustic building. I've been looking out my back door. Watching and waiting. I have so enjoyed bird watching this weekend!
Maybe some of you bird lovers can identify this one for me. (I can see now that I'm going to have to go to the library and check out some bird books because, other than cardinals, I don't have a clue as to what these are called). I didn't really do this one justice. He has a beautiful red spot on the back that I never could quite capture. But, I'll keep trying!
Yes, it's either a Downy or a Hairy - I always get them mixed up (I think the Hairy is the bigger of the two). I've got them at my house too - oooh how they love the suet! Nice shot!
@cazann@yellowdog@nebzphoto - I kind of thought it might be some sort of woodpecker. He kept hiding on the other side of my desk, chipping away at the wood! I loved watching him.
