Was able to make one of my absolutely favorite dishes on the planet! Jambalaya is a spicy Louisiana Creole dish, usually made with rice, peas, shrimp, chicken, sausage as well as other ingredients. One dictionary says the name, Jambalaya, comes from French word meaning a mish mash of foods. It's a fun word to say too: "Jumbo-LIE-uh!" :D
