(Day 216) - Yellow, Green, and Blue

Contrary to how it looks, I didn’t do any processing to the color in this photograph. For certain photographs, I love setting my camera’s white balance to tungsten light and seeing the interesting effect it will have.

Super creative!! Would never have thought of it .... even though I have done it by accident and thought it was ugly. Somehow people don't look as good blue. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to try it "on purpose".

I was just reading a book by Bryan Peterson and he mention night shots using tungsten turn out really well. I’m going to try that the next full moon that comes around.
September 18th, 2012
@lisjam1 - Let me guess...was it "Understanding Exposure?" That's where I frirst learned about using tungsten light. lol
September 18th, 2012
@cjphoto Lol, yes! I read another book on exposure a long time ago, but finally decided I wanted to read Peterson’s, too! He also said he keeps his w/b on cloudy 99% of the time. I tried it one evening, but everything was just a little too golden for me.
September 18th, 2012
@lisjam1 - Love Peterson's book, very simple and fun to read. I use the cloudy w/b quite a bit too but, like you, I also find it to be too golden at times. So I try to test out different ones and then choose the one I like best. Guess that's the advantage of this project, you get to try out new things everyday.
