A few weeks ago I took a shot of a glorious Jacaranda tree and mentioned how they make a mess on the ground. Here you can clearly see how the tree's flowers how blanketed the street in a royal purple, which fits well since the street is named after a queen of England. Although the flowers have a sticky sap that stains the concrete, it's still super beautiful to see the street in a carpet of purple.
This is the last purple-colored shot of my Rainbow Month. Thanks to nature (and my sister), purple became a really enjoyable color to capture this month. :)
@vickisfotos - Thanks Vicki! They truly are gorgeous. We used to have one of these trees over our patio. The cleanup and the concrete stains were a pain, so every time I see this tree I think about that. But in the street it doesn't matter much. haha.
Yes!! This is what they do! I grew up in a house with a jacaranda tree in the front yard and it always made a HUGE mess. But, they sure are pretty. This is a lovely shot.
