I'm shooting all my photo from a 'top-down' perspective this month. I really like photos of food taken from this perspective and many 365ers are so good at creating delicious looking shots like this.
Knew I wanted to shoot apples but didn't know in what way. As I was cutting the apples, I was able to get some nice star-shaped surprises, perfect for a 'top-down' photo! :)
I knew it was yours immediately! So glad to know that you have discovered the stars in the center of apples! You show them off very well in this wonderful composition!
@dibzgreasley - Don't I know it Debs! Trying to get my tripod at the right spot, the camera height correct, and the subject in the right spot is tough. This hasn't been my easiest monthly theme but the results have been fun!
@francoise - Ummm...yes...it is. I tried on our table but I couldn't get my tripod and camera in the right position to capture the entire subject. They kept hitting our ceiling fan! So I cleaned the floor really good and was easily able to get the shot on our kitchen floor. The tiles were really compatible with the apples too. Plus the 5 second rule applies, right? Haha!
My husband is a tiler, walked by and said, "Nice floor!" Nothing about the apples! This is really nicely composed with that little curve of apple slices. Great job! Oh and even though you cleaned the floor, I do hope you rinsed the apples anyway before (IF???) you ate them!
@olivetreeann - Haha too funny! Sounds exactly like a tiler! Say thanks to your husband for me. I did rinse them but I didn't eat the one I put on the floor. The ones in the bowl were mighty delicious though!
