We had even more rain today! But CJ and I were excited to practice even more rain photography. We changed locations and since the drops were slightly heavier, a few more can be seen in the image. Needless to say, I followed CJ's advice and placed plastic over my camera too. We got pretty wet ourselves but at least our cameras stayed dry. :)
Awesome capture Chris! And a well deserved TP and PP! Yeah, the rain has presented some opportunities that those of us in So Cal don't often get. I'll take a cue from CJ and be sure to cover my camera.
@stray_shooter - Thanks so much Ron! Totally agree. Always look forward to rainy days and different photo opportunities it presents. Plus we really needed it!
@kjarn - Thank you much Kathy! Really appreciate all the kind comments you left!
@joemuli - Thanks a ton, Joey for checking it out and faving!! :)
@bokehdot - Gotta do all we can to protect it. I'm learning a lot from CJ's techniques!
@summerfield - Seems like he is! He even stood up before me after reading your comment! Haha. Thank you!! :)
@tonygig - Thanks so much for the kind words and fav, Tony!
@stephanies - I was soooooo hoping to catch the water splash! I used burst mode and got it on my 3rd shot! Thank so much for all of your wonderful and kind comments Stephanie!
@elisasaeter - Thanks very much Elisabeth!! It was fun!
@joysabin - Haha I'm trying my best to imitate his dedication and preparedness. Thanks so much for the comment and fav!!
@lulaharp - Thank you so much for the comment, Lula. I've learned a few things. A fast shutter speed helps but also a high ISO really gives you a good chance of catching the action. Burst mode is your friend. Also rain shows up much better in the image if it is backlit (light coming toward you instead of behind you). Oh and always cover your camera if it isn't totally waterproof. :)
@partyof72015 - Totally happy to bring you some joy. Thanks much, Brandi!
@guymundo - Thanks very much! The exact same thing was happening to me when I was out shooting in the rain. I probably should have worn a jacket with a higher collar. Haha.
