Eating utensils have the best jobs. They get to taste many things before us. Mmmmmm...now I'm in the mood for pancakes. :)
~Thanks for the overwhelming response to CJ's cereal catapult yesterday! That shot took 2 hours to get right. Really happy to see you guys loved it. Apologies for getting behind on commenting myself though. Lots of busy activity at the moment. Should be back in routine on Monday. :)
@domenicododaro - Big thank you Domenico!!! I actually used the white background because I remembered about what you said about allowing subjects to stand. Figured a white background would be great for helping the dark brown syrup to pop. Your advice came in handy! ;)
This is so fabulous! I love your creative ideas for photos! Thank you so much for the link showing your setup! I always enjoy seeing "behind the scenes" photos. Fav! :-)
Aaah I've always wanted to do a shot like this but it's difficult to get right - and you do it so expertly well!!! (Of course, I don't mean to sound surprised about it :))
@stephanies - Thanks very much Stephanie for all your comments! Not sure if the people would have the patience to hold them for me, sometimes I can take a while to get the shot. The shoeboxes and books are a lot more cooperative. :D
@cjphoto I have seen those- but mine is a little different. Since I will be doing some color shots very soon- I'll try to remember to post one of it. I think that one was the most popular of that kind. My sons had a plastic version of it for playing in the sandbox.
Thanks for posting your set up...love your high-tech studio (looks like mine but you do soooo much more!) So inspiring...I'm now going to have to try this...or at least save it for the future "Maply" I'll try this some day...or "maply" not and just enjoy seeing yours!!!
@olivetreeann - Okay cool! It would be great to see yours. These are some interesting little toys. I've seen the plastic ones before too. I can see why they remind you of my spoon setup! :)
@granagringa - Thanks a ton Madeline! I've enjoyed all your comments (and wacky puns) yet again. My little studio here gave me some fun shots. You should definitely give it a go, I'd absolutely love to see your take! Also, sorry I've gotten behind on commenting on your wonderful photos. Will catch up soon!
@taffy - Thanks so very much Taffy! I was quite excited to see it there. I really thought I was making a super simply photo, really humbled to see so many liked it.
@grammyn@gaylewood - Thank you so much Katy and Gayle! Making the TT was such a surprise. As I told Taffy, I looked at this as such a simple shot and was just having fun. Didn't expect so many to like it. :)
Wow, I don't really know what to say but THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the heartfelt comments, views, and favs on this photo. I'm immensely grateful.
@365karly1 asked if I had someone hold the spoons for me. So thought this would be a great chance to show you all my setup: https://image.ibb.co/iKRptH/180224_untitled_25.jpg
Shoeboxes, books, bowls acting as weights, and dining room chairs...as you can see I really using stuff around the house for my setups. :)
Thanks for the kind words all!! Glad the setup shot proved helpful!
