(Day 11) - Yep, Syrup by cjphoto

(Day 11) - Yep, Syrup

Eating utensils have the best jobs. They get to taste many things before us. Mmmmmm...now I'm in the mood for pancakes. :)

~Thanks for the overwhelming response to CJ's cereal catapult yesterday! That shot took 2 hours to get right. Really happy to see you guys loved it. Apologies for getting behind on commenting myself though. Lots of busy activity at the moment. Should be back in routine on Monday. :)
Brilliant...Fav

February 26th, 2018
excellent. I love the light through the syrupy stuff
February 26th, 2018
@domenicododaro - Big thank you Domenico!!! I actually used the white background because I remembered about what you said about allowing subjects to stand. Figured a white background would be great for helping the dark brown syrup to pop. Your advice came in handy! ;)

@365karly1 asked if I had someone hold the spoons for me. So thought this would be a great chance to show you all my setup: https://image.ibb.co/iKRptH/180224_untitled_25.jpg

Shoeboxes, books, bowls acting as weights, and dining room chairs...as you can see I really using stuff around the house for my setups. :)

Genius Chris, I was wondering if you had people holding the spoons for you....so interesting to see the set-up picture, thanks for sharing with us!
February 27th, 2018
This reminds me of a toy I have from WAY back when- although it pours down sand. This is way better to put on pancakes! Great set-up and capture.
February 27th, 2018
@stephanies - Thanks very much Stephanie for all your comments! Not sure if the people would have the patience to hold them for me, sometimes I can take a while to get the shot. The shoeboxes and books are a lot more cooperative. :D
February 28th, 2018
@olivetreeann - Thanks Ann! That toy sounds really interesting. Would it happen to be this one?

@cjphoto I have seen those- but mine is a little different. Since I will be doing some color shots very soon- I'll try to remember to post one of it. I think that one was the most popular of that kind. My sons had a plastic version of it for playing in the sandbox.
February 28th, 2018
Love this! Fav
February 28th, 2018

February 28th, 2018
@olivetreeann - Okay cool! It would be great to see yours. These are some interesting little toys. I've seen the plastic ones before too. I can see why they remind you of my spoon setup! :)
