(Day 244) - Tar & Reflections

This part of the La Brea Tar Pits is called Lake Pit. Rain and groundwater has collected above the bubbling asphalt, creating this small lake.

CJ's loves that, even though the lake is dark in color, the reflection of the building and trees is still very clear. (If you look carefully, you might even see another mammoth) πŸ˜„

It's interesting how the black tar almost looks blue due to the reflection- at least to me it does. Good shot!

I haven't been there in years...thanks for the visit! I was wondering at the shape of the roofline, but then it becomes very obvious!
