(Day 268) - Inspiration for the Happiest Place

CJ is now exploring Griffith Park, a very large mountainous park (in fact, the Hollywood Sign is technically part of Griffith Park). It has been referred to as the Central Park of Los Angeles. However, it's much larger and more untamed & rugged. There are dozens of hiking trails as well as many spots of interest that CJ is excited to check out.

For example, tucked away in a quiet corner of the park is this historic Merry-Go-Round built in 1926. It actually inspired Walt Disney. He would take his children here on the weekends. During one visit, while sitting on a bench watching his children play and run around, the idea hit him! He wanted to create a large gathering site that parents and children could enjoy together. Thus, his idea for Disneyland was born.

CJ is impressed that inspiration can come from anywhere and at anytime. Even more so, he's happy this merry-go-round is still operating for parents and children to enjoy together. ๐ŸŽ ๐Ÿ˜†
C.J. really gets around, doesn't he? Interesting Disney story.
