This Buckeye was closed, when I got it in focus. Just as I snapped the pic, it opened. The pop of color startled me, but in a good way. :0)
I am taking pics of other things, but the butterflies just seem to turn out a little better. I saw a deer today, but I just wasn't quick enough to get a pic. I did get a hummingbird pic, but the lighting wasn't good. It rained around lunch time and it was cloudy all afternoon.

wow - who needs a butterfly house Carolyn! You have as many as you need in your back yard. This is beautiful. How lucky we are that he opened his wings when you clicked.
