While I was taking pics of this Green Lynx Spider and it's prey, a Buckeye, I was really hoping this wasn't a jumping spider! I think I might be getting a little too brave for my own good. I had the flower in my hand.
For a much happier pic, you can look at my other album and see my cat, Red M and his reaction to the big spider. :0)
Thank you for your wonderful comments and support!!! :0)
Amazing capture! The butterfly is so pretty and the spider is nice looking. However, it is sad that the butterfly got caught by this spider. I know a spider has to eat though.
I'm confused. I guess the buckeye a butterfly? I used the magnifier. You also got some flowers (are THEY the buckeye?) I'd be mighty pleased if I had captured this. wow!
Awesome capture, Carolyn! the focus is incredible, especially with you holding the flower in your hand. Thanks for the fav, btw. I loved that horse scene and went back a week to get it out of the files, so I'd have it in the album.
I love your comment - sometimes nature isn't pretty.
We don't like to think about it, but I would hazard an easy guess that most of the time, nature isn't pretty. We just don't see it very often. this is a fabulous capture because of that.
Wow! Stunning capture, the details on the spiders legs are incredible.
I apologise for not fav'ing this I would just rather not come across spiders when browsing through my favs.
a fav! Missed it first time through....I don't get to see the same people now it seems that I am back to work/school. I love this. The focus and angle are amazing and it is so unique.
