Two guys sharing a meal

I saw some new birds at the feeders today. This male House Finch was one of them. He didn't visit for very long, but he and this Cardinal had a meal together.

When I was reading about Blue Jays recently, I read they mimic the Red-tailed Hawk's cry to scatter the other birds away from the feeders. I heard a hawk behind me today and I was fairly sure it wasn't in the yard. It was a Blue Jay. I wonder how many times I've been fooled?
