A question, as you country is so drought now where do you take all the amazing beautiful butterflies and dragonflies pic Those need flowers and water I suppose. We have to much rain and showers for them

You make him look very "uncommon" haha! That is the only type of d fly I ever see. Darn. but you made him look pretty. MIne are always in BRIGHT sun on a cable over the lake or a stick by the lake...just doesn't make for a good shot.

I love your butterfly shots. There is so much detail also I can learn the names of them.

Amazing capture.

@pyrrhula It's getting very hard to find the butterflies and dragonflies. There is a place in my hay field that is next to the woods. It gets shade for a big part of the day. There is a patch of clovers and Queen Anne;s Lace that are surviving there. I find my butterflies there. The clovers are dying more each day. If we don't get rain soon, they will all be gone.

@chard I haven't read up on dragonflies, as much as I have butterflies. I know the dragonflies love to perch on single dried sticks or branches. It makes them hard to see and really hard to focus on them. They like to return to the same spot after flying around. That helps some. :0)
