This is a female Green Lynx Spider guarding her egg sac. Females lay 25-600 bright orange eggs in a yellowish or brownish egg sac. She guards the sac until they hatch.
She doesn't have to worry about me getting too close! Those long spiky legs are a big deterrent! :0)
It was cold enough for me to wear a sweater today. It felt wonderful! It's supposed to warm up this weekend, so maybe the butterflies will come back out. I didn't see any today. I did see the "C" caterpillar.
