I was attempting to capture the Perseid meteor shower but was disappointed that we only saw 3 or 4 streaks. My sweet husband drove me out in the country after midnight for me to try. (And he has to go to work early.) The Milky Way was spectacular so I just shot it. (My first attempt, but not my last!!) It was a beautiful night sky and it was a great way to kick off our 39th wedding anniversary!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE!!!
This is great I failed miserably to get a descent picture, I have not done a lot of night work and my attempts last night were very poor. I only sae 2 streaks in our back garden last night
Happy Anniversary! This is a lovely sky shot. I set my alarm to check the sky at 1:30am, which should have been optimal, but I saw nothing but the usual constellations. Bummer!
It is gorgeous! Wow Carolyn, I just saw we have the same camera! Now I am truly inspired. I haven't even seen the milky way let alone get a picture of it. At least now I can quit blaming the camera, lol. Fabulous shot! Fav! and Happy Anniversary!!!
@jbucovetsky Happy Anniversary, Jeff! We were married at high noon on Friday the 13th. Some thought it was unlucky to do that, but it's been a very blessed 39 years. I wish you many blessed years in the future.
