I'm so jealous - I've only seen a few of these fleetingly in the dark and you get to photograph a magnificent specimen in broad daylight!

What a great image. Is that a wild owl or a captive one? Looks great sitting there on the post. Well captured.

Awesome! I've been to owl sanctuaries and not seen anything - pretty sure they hid, snickering as I passed.

Thank you all for your Fav and lovely comments.
I will admit that this is a composite. The fence and trees were taken with my mobile while walking the dogs, the owl was taken during a workshop in the New Forest (Hampshire - UK) a couple of years ago.
When I saw the fence I thought it should have a bird on it, so I took one of my many bird photos and put him there.

@claudiet Well, then you are a WIZARD with processing! I dont even know how to take unwanted things out of the background! Maybe if I ever get a Mac with Lightroom or photoshop, I too can improve upon photos. For now, it is picmonkey and a few other phone apps for simple improvements using an iPhone only. :)
