Eilean Glas Lighthouse by clifford

Eilean Glas Lighthouse

One of the lovely things about having dogs is walking with them. At the end of this walk there was a cafe. Run by a retired married couple who are volunteers, they enjoy explaining the history of the lighthouse. All supplies are carried in. No vehicles. Wow!!!
Well worth the hike to get to the lighthouse. Hope there was a cup of tea when you got there.

@robz This amazing structure was being used in 1789. Obviously it's had some upgrades since then i.e. revolving dome in 1824 etc.

Super image of this lighthouse. I enjoy the colours of the sky! Am I facing the sea or is it behind me? It just seems strange to have a lighthouse on the land with no reference to the sea!
