Good capture, but I'm not really sure I'd want to get very close to this animal. They have a terrible reputaion for eating any and every sort of plant life and changing environments as a result and are considered to be quite a pest. I hope the folk keeping an eye on the park are looking out for what the nutrias are doing.
@randystreat I only saw a couple , they were very friendly with people and funny too because very insisting, this one approached me close very softly to see if I had food, but as he saw I didn’t have any I went again to ask to others: a real beggar ! There’s a lot of swans, ducks, koï so I think the guardian of the park makes sure there’s a balance between all the habitants. ;)
@phil_howcroft so cute yes... he made me think of my dog (same size), a very cute little creature, Im only afraid of insects (it's absolutely irrational ), but not worried at all ;) .
We have a lot in France, Switzerland, Germany, I could send you some ;) but I think they are considered pests in a lot of countries
