Shabu-shabu by cocobella

Shabu-shabu

Excellent diner on the top of a building in Shibuya with friends.
We started with 3 or 4 plates of different littles starters, all so beautiful and good.
Then a traditionnel japanese meal : the Shabu-shabu, you have a very greasy beef in thin slices you put in boiled water, then vegetables, mushroom, tofu and at the end noodles.
The dessert was "poor" : somes fruits and ice cream.
Our waitress was adorable, showing/explaining us everything with a beautiful smile.

FAbulous collage! I like how you made the divisions between the photos so thin. It almost feels like I'm looking down at one large table.

@kwind thank you Kim, it was too hard to choose so i've decided to go for a collage !
I think that, as you told me you have been in Japan, you must have experienced the shabu-shabu ?

this is great! makes me almost want to eat meat again. well, almost, not quite though. but your presentation is excellent! mais, i don't think japanese food can be complemented by fancy desserts. fresh fruits are the way to end it.

I am hungry right now and this looks so good. My hubby and I once with to a hibachi and Japanese place and they had two rooms/kinds of meals. They said one was shabu shabu. We had no clue what it was! haha But we looked it up when we got home. WE should have chosen to do it because this looks great.

@espyetta I encourage you to have a try ! It's really good, and they serve you a very special sauce to dip the meat in, I forgot to take a picture of the noodles cooked in the final stock, with all the aromas...so good !
