ohh, do you have one of those trees? I was thinking about getting one. I need a smallish tree and Cascalotes don't grow that big if I'm not mistaken? I adore their yellow flowers.

@blueberry1222 We have several and their flowers are beautiful. They grow to about 15 feet max here. Their trunk though is covered with sharp and heavy thorns.

Ya, I'm looking for something to put in the hole near my patio in the backyard. I used to have a palo verde there but it grew so big that I had it cut down because I was afraid of it falling on the house. I've been through two citrus trees since then, but both of them died because they got too much sun. I've been leaning towards cascalote or Vitex (chaste tree) or something native. But SMALL is the key word...
