Today over the moors we saw a wonderful field of Sheep’s Sorrel, it was a glorious red copper very short and in masses across the area. It can be used in cooking as it adds a lemon flavour also in gin and the leaves to add a crunch to a salad. It is the only place we have ever seen so it must have had the right acidity it needed to grow.
Best on black
Today we noticed the early bell heather is starting to show so the moor will start to look more colourful soon. Today it was a cold and wet 13c we have also had a hail shower to round the afternoon off. Summer was 2 weeks ago!
Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.
